How Collect Set Go works

Your first session

  1. Sign in with your existing account, or create one using an approved email or invitation code.
  2. Scan and confirm one card, or import a CSV using Import Collection.
  3. Open My Collections and use Owned cards to review physical copies, purchase costs, and pricing coverage.
  4. Switch to the Checklist tab to choose a checklist and plan binder pages.

Market prices and exact matches

A matching card name is not enough. Check set, collector number, language, edition, stamp, foil treatment, and condition. An exact product link helps identify the card; it does not by itself prove that its price is current or correctly matched.

Market estimates are not offers to buy your card. Graded slabs are different products from raw Near Mint cards. Auction benchmark differences exclude any costs not explicitly shown, including taxes or later bid increases.

If a price or printing looks wrong, do not rely on it for a purchase. Compare the linked product and listing, including the photo, before proceeding.

Condition adjustments and dealer payout, trade, and retail figures are calculated estimates. Price-signal coverage describes available price fields, not a measured matching accuracy rate or sales volume.

Scanning a card

  1. Open the scanner and choose the correct camera.
  2. Frame one card with all corners visible. Avoid glare and keep its number readable.
  3. Confirm the proposed set, number, and physical version.
  4. Record ownership and purchase details, then save.

Image recognition can confuse similar versions. You remain responsible for confirming the result. Saving an incoming card is not the same as placing it in your binder.

Checklists and binder pages

My Collections has two views: Owned cards records physical copies you own; Checklist tracks goals, including cards you need or have on the way. Binder pages arrange those checklist entries into pockets; a pocket does not prove ownership.

  1. Open My Collections, choose Checklist, and select or build a list.
  2. Review its exact printings and Owned, On the way, and Needed states.
  3. Switch to the binder view and choose a nine- or twelve-pocket layout.
  4. Use Print & export tools for labeled placeholders or a checklist backup.

Lists are reviewable catalog-based drafts. Cameos, unusual stamps, altered artwork, and uncataloged promos may be missing. Read the inclusion rules and unresolved-reference notes before calling a list complete.

Collection storage and privacy

Your account is required to view private collections and purchase details. Site-only migrated accounts use website storage; legacy connected accounts may still use Google Sheets. Do not assume the same storage mode applies to every account.

Keep an exported copy of important collection records. Export and account controls are available inside the signed-in app. Never share your password or browser-extension pairing credentials.

Auction discovery and personal bids

Public listings and personal bid status are separate. Fanatics and ALT personal bids depend on a paired Auction Bridge and fresh complete snapshots. eBay discovery does not provide your personal winning or outbid status.

Pending matches remain research candidates. Check end time, shipping, buyer premium, condition, and seller details on the marketplace before bidding.
